O brasileiro 'O Território', coproduzido internacionalmente, foi um dos nomeados da 32ª edição do evento.
Conhecida por ser uma das primeiras premiações da temporada, o Gotham Independent Awards divulgou oficialmente os indicados para sua 32ª edição, que contou com presença do brasileiro O Território, coproduzido internacionalmente, na categoria de Melhor Documentário e presença de grandes filmes como Tudo em Todo o Lugar ao Mesmo Tempo e o sucinto Aftersun nas categorias de cinemas. Além disso, nas categorias de TV, Abbott Elementary, Pachinko, Severance, This Is Going To Hurt e Station Eleven estão entre os honrados.
Dirigido pelo estadunidense Alex Pritz, O Território segue um jovem líder indígena do povo Uru-eu-wau-wau lutando contra agricultores, colonizadores e colonos que invadem uma área protegida da Floresta Amazônica.
